CROWNED FOR A CAUSE: Bulawayo’s Finest Sons Vie for Misters of Zimbabwe 2025 Title”

“CROWNED FOR A CAUSE: Bulawayo’s Finest Sons Vie for Misters of Zimbabwe 2025 Title”

Bulawayo’s candidates are ready to take on Misters of Zimbabwe 2025. The city of Bulawayo is curious and eagerly waiting to know who among their Kings will be coronated as Misters of Zimbabwe 2025. Mthwakazi is rallying behind four candidates: Blessed Mutemere, Daniel Damson, Nkosikhona Khumalo, and Shelton Sibanda.

The four delegates are all currently part of the top 16. All of them hope to bring the throne back home or at least make it to the top four. Blessed Mutemere and Shelton Sibanda are currently among the top leaders in the people’s choice competition category. In an exclusive interview with Ekasi Magazine, the quad shared their mission if they are crowned.

They all shared the same vision, which is empowering the youths and developing their province and country. Nkosilathi Khumalo, whose favorite motto is ‘Empowering Boys to say No to drugs,” informed that his main agenda is to represent the province and as an advocate against drug abuse. He believes if he wins, his movement will address drug abuse in the city.

“Winning the crown for me means I have taken a step further in my journey of building a better, strong, and healthy future,” said Nkosilathi. “Youths are the leaders of tomorrow; hence I believe if ‘we’ can walk this path together, we can actually build strong leaders for the future. I’m taking a stand against the issue of drug and substance abuse that is haunting Bulawayo, my home.”

On the other hand, Blessed Mutemere said his mission is to establish and support programs that assist homeless individuals. He further added that winning the title will assist him in continuing to work with the city. “Winning this throne will have a profound impact on my life and the City of Bulawayo. It will create new career opportunities in my life.”

“If I win this crown, I promise to continue serving my community as a positive role model for the young people in the community, inspiring them to pursue their goals and dreams,” said Blessed. “I plan to help with charity work and social initiatives, helping to raise awareness and drive positive change. Also, as a proud advocate for children experiencing homelessness, I am to raise awareness about issues surrounding homelessness and provide a platform to reach a wide audience. I am to establish and support programs that foster self-esteem and emotional wellbeing.”

The third candidate from the city of Bulawayo, Shelton Sibanda, informed that his main target is the health department. “If I win the title of Misters of Zimbabwe, it would be a significant milestone not just for me, but for our entire community. As a community health advocate, this achievement would represent a powerful platform to drive positive change, aligning with the 2030 Agenda for a generation free from HIV and AIDS, the spread of STIs, and unwanted pregnancies.”

“Winning this title would allow me to raise awareness about Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) for youth,” said Shelton. “I plan to leverage this opportunity to engage with young people, educating them about their rights and the importance of making informed health decisions. Moreover, I would focus on lobbying for greater access to healthcare services for youth. This means advocating for services that are available, accessible, acceptable, affordable, and appropriate. By working with local organizations, healthcare providers, and policymakers, I aim to ensure that our youth have the resources they need to lead healthy lives.”

Lastly, Daniel Damson highlighted that if he wins the title, it will place the province on the modeling map. On the other hand, his main focus if he wins will continue with his project that focuses on mental health. “For me, this will be a huge start of my long career to be a game-changer, showing the young youth that you don’t have to hide in the shadows because people will criticize you for what you are passionate about, and for Bulawayo, I believe it will bring a significant amount of recognition of the pageants and bring more people to partake in them.”

“Through my advocacy of Mental wellness of young men and young boys, I believe by sharing our stories and supporting one another, we can create a more compassionate and inclusive community,” said Daniel. The city of Bulawayo’s pageant fans have thrown their support and believe this year’s winner is among the four Bulawayo candidates.
