Q. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and why you’re interested in becoming a Finch Wear brand ambassador?

Thami:
I’m originally from Durban, and I’ve always been passionate about movement—whether through sports, or fashion. What excites me about Finch Wear is its cultural pride and how it celebrates growth. It’s a brand that’s rooted in purpose, and I want to represent that energy.

Troy:
I come from Limpopo, and for me, fitness and self-expression go hand in hand. Finch Wear feels like a brand that champions individuality and strength, both physical and mental. That’s why I wanted to be a part of it—it’s not just about clothes, it’s about identity.

Q. How did you first hear about Finch Wear, and what do you like about the brand?

Thami:
I discovered Finch Wear through a post on Instagram. I was instantly drawn to the aesthetic—it’s fresh, functional, and unapologetically African.

Same here. I saw a friend wearing one of the underwears and looked it up. What stood out to me is how the brand speaks to real people with real goals. It’s accessible, stylish, and grounded.

Q. Can you describe your fitness routine and how you stay active?

Thami:
My week usually involves morning cardio, strength training, and work. I also travel regularly to stay agile and expressive.

I’m big on weight training and HIIT workouts. I train five to six days a week and include active recovery through yoga or stretching. Consistency is key for me.

Q. How do you think Finch Wear’s products align with your fitness goals and lifestyle?

Thami:
The gear is breathable and built for motion, but what I love most is that it feels like a second skin. It adapts to whatever I’m doing—rehearsing, training, or running errands. The fabric so soft.

Troy:
Exactly. I can go from a gym session to a casting without needing to change. The clothing matches our hustle and our rhythm.

Q. What motivates you to prioritize your physical health and wellness?

Thami:
For me, wellness is about staying ready—physically and mentally. Movement is my therapy, and it helps me stay grounded in my purpose.

Troy:
I believe that how you take care of your body reflects how you show up in life. My motivation comes from wanting to be the best version of myself, daily.

Q. What makes you a good fit to represent Finch Wear as a brand ambassador?

Thami:
I represent perseverance. I’ve had my fair share of challenges, but I’ve always kept moving. That aligns with what Finch Wear stands for.

Thami

Troy:
I’m authentic. I show the process, the progress, and the passion behind everything I do. Finch Wear is about the journey, not perfection—and I live that truth.

Q. How would you describe Finch Wear’s brand values to your friends and followers?

Thami:
Finch Wear is bold, rooted, and intentional. It’s a brand that embraces who you are while pushing you to evolve.

Troy:
It’s African excellence in motion. Finch Wear is modern but never loses its sense of culture and community.

Q. Can you share an idea for a social media campaign that showcases Finch Wear’s products and values?

Thami:
A “Train with Us” campaign—inviting everyday people to join us for open-air fitness sessions in Finch gear. Real people, real sweat, real stories.

Troy:
A transformation series that follows three individuals on a 30-day journey using Finch gear. It’s powerful when people see themselves represented authentically.

Q. Tell us about your experience with social media and influencer marketing.

Thami:
I’ve worked with a few local brands and built trust through showing up authentically—sharing more than just the polished highlights.

Troy:
I’ve done campaign work and collaborations. My goal is always to be relatable and consistent. People connect with energy that’s real.

Q. How do you engage with your followers and build community?

Thami:
I reply to DMs, ask questions in my stories, and post behind-the-scenes moments. I make sure people know there’s a person behind the posts.

Troy:
I connect through honesty. I talk about my fitness struggles, my daily habits, and celebrate small wins with my community. It’s about growing together.

Q. What kind of content resonates most with your audience?

Thami:
My followers love transformation journeys and creative shoots. They want content that motivates and uplifts.

Troy:
Raw and real moments—workouts, wellness tips, lifestyle vlogs. Finch Wear can tap into that by partnering on authentic, story-led content.

Q. How do you see yourself collaborating with Finch Wear going forward?

Thami:
I’d love to be involved in both visuals and community outreach. Workshops, school visits, mentorship—wherever the brand goes, I want to bring value.

Troy:
I see myself co-creating campaigns, hosting fitness events, and becoming a face that inspires consistency and confidence. It’s about impact, not just influence.

Empowering Young Men: The Story Behind Mister Tshwane

Empowering Young Men: The Story Behind Mister Tshwane

Mister Tshwane was created in 2019 with a burning passion to uplift the community and empower the youth. The pageant provides a platform for young men to boost their confidence, express themselves, and develop valuable life skills.

The idea for Mister Tshwane was born out of a desire to provide a platform for young men to develop their confidence and sense of purpose.

The creator wanted to provide a platform that would boost their confidence, keep them off the streets, and give them a sense of purpose. Male pageantry plays a monumental role in shattering stereotypes and unleashing the true potential of men. As a finalist, you’re not just competing; you’re transforming. You’re breaking free from societal norms and embracing your authentic self. It’s a powerful catalyst for confidence, self-expression, and growth. When judging a male pageant, the creator looks for contestants who embody charm, confidence, and charisma. Someone who can command the stage, captivate the audience, and convey their message with conviction.

It’s not just about physical appearance; it’s about substance, passion, and the ability to connect with people. To succeed in Mister Tshwane Regions, contestants need to bring their A-game. They should be energetic, work tirelessly on their craft, and exude charm. They should develop their public speaking skills, be fit, and most importantly, be unapologetically themselves.

They should come prepared, be a force to be reckoned with, and let their authenticity shine through. A successful male model embodies confidence, poise, and a strong sense of self. They’re adaptable, resilient, and can think on their feet. They’re not just visually appealing; they’re also charismatic, passionate, and genuine. Leading Mister Tshwane has been a transformative experience for the creator. It’s taught him the importance of empathy, understanding, and connection.

He’s grown as a person and become more attuned to the needs and desires of the contestants. Participating in Mister Tshwane Regions offers a wealth of benefits, including confidence, public speaking skills, networking opportunities, and a sense of community. Contestants learn to be resilient, adaptable, and authentic, developing a growth mindset and discovering their true potential.

Representing Tshwane Regions on a bigger stage also instills a sense of pride and responsibility, empowering contestants to be ambassadors of their region. The male pageantry industry is shifting towards greater inclusivity, diversity, and authenticity. There’s more emphasis on substance over superficiality, with contestants being judged not just on their physical appearance but also on their passion, conviction, and character.

One major challenge the industry faces is the lack of support and recognition compared to female pageantry. However, this presents an opportunity for growth and innovation. By working together, the industry can be elevated, and a more level playing field can be created. Mister Tshwane Regions is deeply rooted in the local community, with various initiatives to promote social responsibility.

The pageant has implemented mentoring programs, charity events, and community outreach projects, demonstrating its commitment to giving back and making a positive impact on the lives of those around them.
