CALLS ARE OPEN FOR MISTER ZIMBABWE 2021-AUDITIONS

As we are counting down to flip the other page of the calendar so is the modeling industry.

The industry is waiting to witnessed new page in Mister Zimbabwe as a new King is set to be crowned before the year ends .


However the transaction of the title will be done after the auditions.

Currently everyone is going to be curious,in which province is the King going to derive from .


The organisers of Mr Zimbabwe have set,the 29th of October as the first day of the auditions.

Models from across the country, provinces and different backgrounds are permitted to take part in the auditions,however the targeted an age is 18-33 years.


Mercy Mushaninga who is among the organisers of Mr Zimbabwe pageant, informed that despite one deriving from rural areas or urban areas they won’t be stopped to showcase their talent due to geographical locations.


Previously many have had thoughts that the pageant is only limited to those coming from bigger cities such as Harare,Bulawayo and Gweru.


Mercy Mushaninga also added,that when applying models should send along their pictures;portifolio,Z Cards.


She however encouraged models to understand the purpose of a Z Card.

A Z Card is like a CV and you can’t have a Z Card when you are not trained as a model .


“Most of the models ,they are doing a wrong thing hence we have Z Cards that are not professional,” she said.

She further added,that Z cards assist judges to know more about the model’s previous works.

BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY -LESOTHO FASHION WEEK GETS CANCELLED

The 3rd edition of Lesotho fashion week was held last year in the Mountains Kingdom.

With many hoping to attend the 4th edition this year.
Deliverying the sad news was one of the organisers who apologiesed to the fans of the show and the world.
For not being able to successfully host the 4th edition of the ceremony which many were hoping to physically attend.
Covid-19 pandemic was provided as part of the factors that have led to the cancellation of the event.


Lesotho became the last country in Africa to register its first Covid-19 case,after other nations had registered cases.
However just like any nation across the globe, Lesotho introduced tight movement restrictions to reduce number of the covid 19 pandemic cases.


Last year the event was held private to minimize the number of attendees due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event was hosted in a private ceremonial event.
Legendary and upcoming designers were provided an opportunity to showcase their brand.
The event was held under Covid-19 Restrictions.

FORMER MISTER WORLD BOTSWANA TO RELEASE AN EP

Former Mister World Botswana,Bonalenna Moetsabatho aka Bonz ,Is currently trending as his Afro fusion music sounds are causing waves in the music industry .
Especially with his most recently launched E-P titled New Age – New Wave . The E.Ps hit track ‘Jupiter Love‘ is being echo played in several radio stations across the Diamond Nation of Botswana. Jupiter Love features American musician,Kyla Imani .



In an interview with Bonz explained that
Kyla Imani is based in NewYork , it was through technological means that Bonalenna and Imani managed to meet on Instagram . The two connected , collaborated and created one of the biggest Afro Fusion hit songs despite being miles away from each other .



The Former Mister World Botswana is looking forward to work hand in hand with other artists from across the region and the globe as he believes networking and collaborating gives both parties an opportunity to expand and grow their brands in the music industry .
Bonz ,informed that he uses his art as a mouthpiece in telling his story to the world.

MISTER MODEL NIGERIA REBRANDS

Nigeria’ prominent male modeling pageant ,Mister Model Nigeria has rebranded and will now henceforth be known as Misters of Nigeria.

Mister Model Nigeria remains as one of the three International franchise titles under Misters of Nigeria alongside,“Manhunt Nigeria” and Mister Global Nigeria”.

In a press release, the organisers announced that the reigning Kings :Marcel Soludo,Lam Chris and Julius Spencer.

Will continue with their duties as ,Mister Model Nigeria,Manhunt Nigeria and Mister Global Nigeria respectively as none of them was crowned the ‘Mister of Nigeria”.

In the coming years,Misters of Nigeria will be crowned and will work hand in hand with organisations and catwalk in International pageants.

From Milan Fashion Week to SA Fashion Week

The Milan Fashion Week runs traditionally in September and is recognised as one of the world’s biggest fashion shows.

Connecting the public and the designers, creating networks within the fashion sector.
This year the event was successfully hosted both virtual and physically .


Among the designers who presented who exhibited their work are:Juliancerro,Lianna Beliomo,Domico Orefice and Alessia Dovero and SA designers Fikile Zamagcino Sokhulo,Sipho Mbutho,The Ban Collective and Xavier Sadan SA.

In Conjunction between SA Fashion Week and Italian Embassy,Milan Fashion Week and supported by Textile Company Da Samma as well as Wool SA,Cotton SA and Mohair.

An umbrella titled,”Fashion Bridges” ,which will allow fashion designers from both countries to showcase at Milan Fashion Week and SA fashion Week.


The designers are expected to present their designs during the opening section of the SA fashion Week on the 28th.
Joking the fashion Bridges are some of SA’s local designers.

Who are going to exhibit from the 28th to the 30th of October at the Mall of Africa.
