ZIM’S 2021 PAGEANTRY KINGS !

The year 2021 is the year when the world and everything in it was placed under lockdown , event shows were closed, thanks to the technology some events were hosted digital .

As time went by the world began to open up from the lockdown.
The pageant industry is among the industries that were affected during the lockdown .
However this didn’t stop Zimbabwe male models to make history in International platforms as they had to attend the event either physical or using digital platforms .
Among Zimbabwe’s make models who have placed the country’s flag in International platforms .
The multi-award winning model who is also know as the King of Runway,Shadel Noble won Mr Globe Africa title when he participated digital for Mister Globe and became the first runner up during the pageant .
This was the first International pageant that the former Mister Zimbabwe took part in .
Speaking about Mister Zimbabwe, Devson Luzane another former Mister Zimbabwe participated in Mister Africa International .
He won the 4th position and became the 3rd runner up of the title Mister Africa International .
Luzane also walked away with Mr Friendly and Brand Ambassador title .
The Mister Africa International title was contested in Ivory Coast in September .
Zimbabwe’s fitness model who is currently based in South Africa,Anthony Sikanadze contested for the Mister World South Africa title, he became the first runner up title and he will be representing South Africa during Mr Grand International.
Ben Chest and Panashe Murandu contested for Mister Glam International title, unfortunately none of them won the title however they won gongs
Panashe walked away with Best Personality and and 3rd runner up for the Best Introduction video .
And Multi-Award winning model, Bernard Ndlovu aka Ben Chest was awarded:Best Vogue and Best Elegance Awards.
Last but not least ,Zimbabwean model Saymore Machoni contested for Man of the Earth title, which was hosted virtual .
Saymore took the 4th position automatically making him the 3rd runner up of the pageant.
They are a number of Zimbabwe’s male models who have catwalked or contested in International pageants .
History will tell that 2021 was the year Zim’s male models broke the tradition as they brought titles back home .

One of Zimbabwe’s top Modeling agency,Truth Models Academy have expressed to the the public who they are throwing their support when it comes to the 6th edition of Mister Zimbabwe pageant competition .

In an exclusive Interview with the founder of the agency ,Pardon Khayelihle he said it’s his personally and the Truth Models Agency team that they will support their products who are representing them and the City of Bulawayo at the 6th edition of Mr Zimbabwe and they are Meluleki Sikhosana and Saymore Machoni .

Pardon Khaya encouraged the two models Saymore (Klate) and Meluleki to do their best as he believes that they are the top cream in the list of the 6th edition participants as they derive from the best modeling agency in the country .

“Klate and Meluleki are participating at the 6th edition of Mister Zimbabwe ‘s 6th edition . As their groomer I would like to encourage them to do their best so that they can bring the crown back home at the Truth Models Academy,”said Pardon Khaya.

Mr Khaya further added that the deeds of both Meluleki and Klate both their deeds and performance this year,when one checks their portfolio you won’t hesitate to say they (Meluleki and Klate) don’t deserve the title .

“We know for the fact that they will win,Klate is one of the best models that the country has he has done well for himself this season .The same with Meluleki we hope they breaks the ice and bring the crown home,” said Khaya.

The Truth Models Academy team hopes if one of their members occupies the Throne ,the other should occupy the first runner up position or second runner up position and Mr Zimbabwe Ambassador position .

Meluleki Sikhosana (23) is a former title holder of Mister Lupane University (2019).Face Of Byo 2019 & Mr Personality I Am Africa 2019.

His a procurement student attached at UBH and advocates for Mental Health and Going Green.

While Klate aka Saymore Machoni is the third runner up of the Mister Of The Earth and an engineering student who is advocating for the boy child who is slowly forgotten and promoting self and empowerment amongst the youths.

During the last season of the 5th edition of Mister Zimbabwe,Mzandile Zulu a product of the Truth Models Academy won the 1st runner up title .

If Meluleki or Klate wins the title Mister Zimbabwe,will become the second Bulawayo Model to win the title after King Shadel Noble.

FASHION DESIGNERS LIGHTENED UP NAMIBIA

Franco-Namibian cultural center in Windhoek hosted the Katutura Fashion Week on the 26th to the 28of November .

The Red Carpert was rolled out to allow those who wanted to take pictures which they will share as to recall the moment.

The Katutura Fashion Week was hosted under the theme,’Uniting Cultures through fashion and bringing fashion to people’.
The event was hosted under Covid-19 pandemic restrictions such as :wearing of masks and sanitizing both guests and participants .

The list of the designers who showcased their products ranged from Zambia,Namibia and Angola . They were over 60 designers who included:Puurfekt Couture by Helen; Dennis Hendricks; Lualbany from Angola; Siuna Design; Soxxclothing from Zambia; m101fashions from Zambia; Limited_mg; Kamily Erasmus; Luisewetu; Holap Brand; Ludwilla; Purely; Fuli’s Crochery; Valo Wear; and several students from the College of the Arts and Katutura Community Arts Centre: Amagola Debby; African Flowerchild; Johannes Hage Geingob; Gift Kambuze and Fikuloye Anneli

The tickets of the runway show ranged from N$150 front row and the standard ticket was N$100.
The founder of the event Hendricks expressed his gratitude to all those who supported the event, the sponsors ,designers,guests and the models .

The Katutura Fashion Week was hosted days before the announcement of strict lockdown due to the new Covid-19 variant Omicron .

The main vision of the fashion week is to promote Namibia’s culture and for designers to share ideas.

The City Royal City of Bulawayo is well known for making history every year since Mister Zimbabwe franchiser was established .

During the first season when the pageant was launched the Royal City had no eye for the throne.

However during the second season, Bulawayo models had enough knowledge to know about the importance of the throne.

In 20 which was the second season of the competition , Zimbabwe’s King of Runway Shadel Noble represented The Royal City and won with a higher margin the voted of the public during people’s choice votes which were held at the Zimbabwe Models Awards .
Leading to his coronation as Mister Zimbabwe .

The following year the City of Bulawayo lost the title to the Capital city however the models came back the following year prepared as in 20. they scoped two positions during Mr Zimbabwe pageant which was held separately for the first time from the Zimbabwe Models Awards.

The City won 1st runner up title and Brand Ambassador which was won by Bernard Ndlovu aka Ben Chest.

The year 2021-22 which became the second pageant competition to be hosted for Mister Zimbabwe, Bulawayo defended it’s second position as Mzwandile Zulu was crowned the King.

His win gave that one can’t erase the City of Kings and Queens from the modeling map in Zimbabwe.

This year among the list of participants that are representing the Royal City are :Man of The Earth third runner up ,Saymore Machoni (23),Meluleki Sikhosana (23) former Mister Lupane University;Tinotenda (23) ;Ashbell (24); Junior (20).

Many believe that the title is coming back to the Royal City and Bulawayo will dominate the top positions .
