15 contestants from Nigeria were contesting for the Misters of Nigeria title which is described as the most coveted Male crown in Nigeria. More than 1500 potential contestants had applied with the hope of becoming Mister of Nigeria.
The 15 finalists were camped at the Swiss international Beland Hotel,Owerri up until the day of coronation.
Shamsudeen Idris who derives from Kano state was declared the winner of the evening.He has a bachelors degree in International Relations from Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria.In addition his an athlete and an activist.
He won prizes valued 4 million Naira

Everyone is curious to know which country will be the host of this year’s extra-ordinary Mister Africa International’s 10th anniversary.
The pageant’s first inaguration was held outside the continent of Africa in London ,10 years ago .
Having been hosted from outside the continent, for some time organisers of Mister Africa International saw it fit for the event to be held on the mother Africa soil.
Nigeria became the first African country to host what is now regarded as Africa’s biggest and most followed pageant .Last year the pageant was hosted in Ivory Coast a French African speaking country .
Some followers of the pageant believe that the event might be hosted in a country located the Northern part of Africa while some from Southern Africa are also having their fingers crossed that the pageant will finally be hosted in their region .In the same time Western African are hoping to be the hosts of the 10th anniversary.
Organisers of Mister Africa International have informed the public that they will make the announcement on the 1st of July.
Award winning and fashion renowned designer, unveiled the original name of the continent through his latest collection,’Alkebulan’.
“The Alkebukan name dates back pre-colonisation ,it is said to be the continent’s oldest name and the most indigenous it’s origins“
The term Alkebukan means mother of mankind,while others have reffered to the term as’the garden of Eden’.
The collection of Maxhosa’s A/W S/S 22 shows how ancient people from the past would be dressed .
Also during the collection ;the late Rikhado Ricky Rick Makhado took center stage as the muse of the collection. The late multi-talented artist Ricky was also a brand ambassador of the Maxhosa brand.
Ricky was a ‘true example of what an Alkebukan is’ said Maxhosa Laduma. This was a special tribute for selfless patriotism,love and dedication he had for the brand.
“As part of our recent Maxhosa Alkebukan show we honoured one of our greatest patron,loving friend and brother whom we deemed as the father of youth”. According to Mxhosa before Riky passed away he wanted a black costume designed by Maxhosa Laduma. During the launch of Alkebukan ,Riky’s family was present .
