Makanaka Fashion Show Reaches International Standards

It’s undoubtedly that the Makanaka Fashion Show will always be in the minds of people especially in the sector of fashion in Zimbabwe.
The show was hosted by the Jacaranda Culture Media Corporation at a time when the fashion runway show has been considered as a sinking ship in Zimbabwe.


On the 4th of Zimbabwe it became a great day for the fashion lovers .
As they came from all four corners of the country.
The event was held at Sam Levy Village Parking Space in Borowdale in Harare under the theme “Day Dream”.
Before the start of the event,the Red Carpet gave one an idea of the level of the show.
This proved to the world it was indeed a well prepared event .
Part of the models who catwalked in the event derive from Top Model Zimbabwe.


The combination of award winning radio presenter, Samantha Musa,’Miss Red’ as the host along with designers,Madondo,Amon,Venon, Locomotive,Fungai Muzoroza with the cream coming from artists who include Nyasha David and Tamy Moyo.
The event turned out to be an exclusive event .

As Ghana Men’s Fashion Week curtains all went down last month,the show is still in the minds of many.However among those who managed to work hard and make sure that the show becomes a well managed event are models among them is the reigning,Mister Ideal first runner up Eugene who shared with us his experience.

Q:Can you tell us who is Eugene?
A:1.My name is Eugene,and I am from Nigeria Edo state.
Studying at the university of Benin Edo state,business administration 300l.
Currently the 1st prince Mr ideal Nigeria 2022.
A fitness model/coach and also an entrepreneur.

Q:You are from Nigeria and you travelled to Ghana.What are the similarities between the two countries when it comes to fashion?
A:Fashion in Nigeria and Ghana,first of all the people putting on the cloths are black secondly the culture as black are still within us,so we end up wearing same kind of native,cultural wears etc

Q:Speaking about fashion what did you learnt about Ghana Men’s Fashion Week as a model?
A:You have to work with the right designers,stylist and makeup artist.
that can give out the very best outfit that will definitely match up with your looks..

Q:Do you think being mascular is an advantage in Modeling?
A:No it’s definitely not,but I believe it will be much perfect in building for a basic physical appearance so as to fit in outfits.

Danh Chieu Linh TAKES OVER AS Mister Global 2021 Title HOLDER.

Danh Chieu Linh takes over as Mister Global 2021 title holder.

This was meantioned during a press conference at Sofitel Saigon Plaza in Ho Chin Minhi, Vietnam that Mister Global 2021,Miguel Angel Lucas Carrasco from Spain has stepped down from from his title duties for personal reasons . 

Vietnam model and 1st runner up Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam has assumed the title . 

The new Mister Global 2021,Danh Chieu Linh is expected to continue with the legacy and duties of Mister Global and fulfill the obligations in the next five months .

FUNGAI MUZOROZA TO HEADLINE MAKANAKA FASHION SHOW

Fungai Muzoroza is becoming one of the dominating fashion households in Zimbabwe.Having participated in one the most prominent reality television shows,’The Battle Of Ankara’s. Fungai became an inspiration to many upcoming designers ,with others hoping to see her designs again . Makanaka Fashion Week is an event that will give many an opportunity to witness Fungai Muzoroza’s latest collection as he will be exhibiting during the event this coming weekend .

Q:Can you introduce yourself to our readers?
A:My name is Fungai Muzoroza. I am a 23 year old fashion designer based in Harare Zimbabwe.

Q:How has your work developed over time?What significant discovers have you made?
A:I’ve Loved watching my work develop over the years because I started designing at a very young age so I think that as I continue to grow so do my skills and my knowledge in fashion and I just love seeing that development because the more I become myself and comfortable in who I am the more my fashion becomes an art and true expression of who I am.

Q:Where or which category can you place your own brand and why did you select that category as part of your brand?
A:I can’t say that my brand fits in just one category because whenever I decide whether it’s a conviction or certain piece I literally just design how I’m feeling it’s almost like an art I express the state I’m in at the current moment it can be street it can be romantic it can be sad it can be traditional or cultural but I design whatever I want really because I don’t want to be in a box.

Q:How would you describe your creativeness?
A:I would describe my creativeness as A reflection of who I am as a person and a reflection of my different personalities.

Q:Makanaka Fashion Show is around the corner.How did you manage to be part of showcasing designing team?
A:I was really excited to hear that I would be part of the Makanaka fashion show one of the scouts from Jacaranda scouted me out and here I am.

Q:Whom in terms of clients are you hoping your brand will attract during the show?
A:Well I would love for everyone to see a bit of themselves in this collection I am to design for everyone anyone of any age size shape colour so really hoping that everyone sees a bit of themselves. On the other hand I am also hoping for other corporate another big corporations in Zimbabwe to see the amazing talent that we have right here at home so that they can focus on funding individuals that just aren’t just big ‘celebrities’ and see there is so much untapped potential which will also bring them new opportunities!

Q:In terms of Inspirations in your upcoming collection,what words can you use?
A:In terms of inspiration all I can say is opulence, soft life, African royalty and elephants

Q:Aside from this show which other shows are you hoping to headline in future?
A:Aside from the Makanaka fashion show I will also be grading the catwalk in Paris at the African fashion Reception held by UNESCO and hopefully soon Fashion weeks and projects of my own!
