Kwanele dropped out of Mister Supranational competition when he was part of the finalists,last month.
The news that he delivered through his social media post shocked many in the modelling industry including his competitors in the pageant.
However Kwanele provided a solid reason that he had to make a decision since he is playing a big politician role in the arts sector.
“I am writing to formally resign from my position as semi finalist with Mister Supranational pageant,effective today.
“Due to my increasingly busy schedule,I find myself unable to dedicate the time and energy required to fulfill my duty effectively.
“As you may know I will be touring internationally this year,participating in the biggest series in South Africa and also launching my own project,”advised Thusi.
He further thanked the organisers for the opportunity they had grant him and he wished them well in their journey .
Danica Studios is a recording label founded in 2013 as Kay Empire Recordz which then later adopted the name Danica Studios in 2018, Danica meaning a morning shinning star. It’s a recording studio located in the heart of Victoria Falls and received a grant support from Culture Fund Zimbabwe and European Union Delegation to Zimbabwe last 2023. The European Union Ambassador Delegation to Zimbabwe Jobst Von Kirchman got visited the studio on the 27th of February 2024 and he was impressed with the progress the studio had made and the artists .It’s working with artists who include: Mister Africa International 1st runner up among others.
BULAWAYO KINGS DOMINATE MISTERS OF ZIMBABWE PAGEANT
With at least a few days left for Zimbabwe and the world to witness,the first ever Misters of Zimbabwe pageant to be held physical at Beitbridge on the 9th of March.
Bulawayo’s male models have managed to dominate the pageant’s preliminaries.
The three models who have represented the second capital city are Thulani,Royce Gavi and Mzolisi Mtshayisa.
Award winning model, Mzolisi Mtshayisa won the Best Beach wear gold award and Thulani won the Bronze medal in the same category.
In traditional category, Thulani was the only King from the city of Bulawayo to walk away with a medal in this category which is the bronze.
The swimwear category saw two of the royal models being awarded gongs,Royce Gavi and Mzolisi Mtshayisa respectively won Gold and Silver.
The two models continued in scoping more medals. As they won:Gold and Silver respectively in the fashion category.
With at least one preliminary left before the main event,combined Bulawayo models gave managed to scope at least seven medals
Thulani is one step closer in becoming Misters of Zimbabwe title winner.As he is now part of the top 7.He has also appeared as part of the favourites in the pageants.He explains to us what are the push and pull factors that influenced him to take this path
Q.You are starting a year in a positive mood.Why embarking at Misters of Zimbabwe pageant? A.My project of Mental health crisis support aligns well with the set objectives of creation of equal opportunities, inclusivity and diversity amongst men . It aligns with the global SDGS and thus as its prospective ambassador I thrive to create change and speak truth to power
Q Is this your first pageant if yes why have you selected pageant and are you leaving other sectors of modeling if not what are you hoping to achieve from this pageant?A.
This is my second pageant. I am planning on using this opportunity to create change in the societal norms and beliefs through workshops projects that are aimed at a good mental health.
Q.What are you hoping to bring to the pageant?A .I am hoping to be the change that I seek to see in the world . Diversity that brings about the beauty of nation. Inclusive nature not choosing colour creed form or sexuality but cutting across to bring about a beautiful nation of creatives

Drawing his pageantry inspiration from,the outgoing title holder Chris Ncube is Nyashadzaishe Mutukura a 25 year old model who believes that he has attributes that are needed for one to be the next Misters of Zimbabwe King winner and to represent the country at an international platform . In an exclusive moment with Nyasha Mutukura,he opens up about himself to our readers and give us hints on what to expect from him when he wins the title Mister of Zimbabwe. In addition we learn more about his other career.
Q. Nyasha can you introduce yourself to our readers by telling us who you are and bio? A. I am Nyashadzaishe Godwin Mutukura, a young man aged 25. I am a fashion enthusiast who is willing to grab every single opportunity that comes when it comes to fashion. Growing up in a family with two older sisters, I got pushed to dress well and look nice and my love for fashion started growing. I graduated in 2021 at University of Technology and I am currently working at Simbisa Brands (one of the biggest companies in Zimbabwe). I am a model, content creator as well as a volleyball player. Yes of course I go to church, born and raised in a Christianity background. I am a self motivated person driven by the desire of being better and better each and everyday and the only competition I have is myself so I always push myself to be better than I was the day before. I get moved every time I see people suffering because it social causes, naturally causes or financial causes which is why I chose to participate in Misters of Zimbabwe so that as a reigning King I work on helping communities through charity activities because everyone deserves to live a better life.
Q. what does taking part at Misters of Zimbabwe mean to you ? A.Performing at a big stage like Misters of Zimbabwe means a lot to me I would not want to lie. I have always been passionate about fashion and self-expression. I also have a strong desire to make a positive impact in the world and use my platform to raise awareness for important causes. Misters of Zimbabwe provides a unique opportunity to combine my interests and my passion for good use. Misters of Zimbabwe also provides an opportunity for self growth and confidence building. I saw it as a way to challenge myself, push my boundaries, and become the best version of myself.
Q. You are not new in modelling you have embarked a journey of being a commercial model. What do you love about your modelling career? A. Modeling has always been a dream of mine therefore I do everything wholeheartedly. Modeling can be an exciting career with many benefits, including travel opportunities, flexible hours and access to the latest fashion trends. What I love about my modeling career is I get to meet new people because I am a social person, i like socializing with people sharing ideas, concepts as well as work itself. What i also like is i get to advertise for different shops, brands and companies. Keeping up with fashion trends is also one thing i like about my modeling career
Q. What are the major differences you have observed in the two sectors of modelling,commercial and pageant ? A.First of all I would say pageant is a bit challenging due to the level of competition. The main difference is noticed between commercial and pageant modeling are that commercial modeling focuses mostly on a model’s social media presence and pageant modeling mainly focuses on a model’s poise, personality, confidence
Q. You are among the leaders in terms of social media voting where you expecting this to be? A.Being in the top of the social media votes is something I hadn’t anticipated honestly because voting is based on personal interest. It really surprised me how hard people are willing to go for me. All this support I’m getting from friends and relatives is giving me confidence.
Q. If you win this title how is your community going to be beneficiares of your success? A.Im well centered on trying to solving current social causes within societies particularly the ones that affect the boy child. Currently the boy child is affected mainly by drug abuse due to lack of educational opportunities, entertainment and lack of employment opportunities therefore If I win this tittle I plan to implement community projects such as education and community sporting competitions (for entertainment especially to fight drug usage) as well as employment opportunities.
Q. Aside from being a model what else does Nyasha do ? A.Apart from modeling, I am a biotechnologist by profession, graduated from Chinhoyi University of Technology (2021). I am also a project manager (2023). I am a sportsman, I play volleyball as setter since primary level.
Q. Whom among Zimbabwe pageant Kings inspire you? A. Amongst Zimbabwean pageant kings, Chris Ncube inspires me. Not only did he win Misters of Zimbabwe 2023, he went and represented Zimbabwe well at Man of the world. Considering that he is the current reigning King of the competition that I am into, I would say that he inspires me and I’m trying to walk in the same path he’s walked with the goal of improving situations in our communities as well as making Zimbabwe shine on global stages.
Q. Do you believe you have the attributes of a true leader? A. I believe that I have the attributes of a true leader. The top skill that makes a great leader is communication, I believe I have excellent communication skills. I have the ability to make decisions even when I’m under pressure which a top tier quality of a true leader. Im trustworthy and a true leader should make the people he is leading trust in him.

Q.You are starting a year in a positive mood.Why embarking at Misters of Zimbabwe pageant? A.I had taken a break in 2023 on pageantry so as to go back to the drawing board , rethink and restrategise , now i think am ready for new challenges

Q.What are you hoping to bring to the pageant? A.I want to use my voice to carry dreams and inspirations to the children who believe its “Impossible” through my project PerfectImperctions because i strongly believe if the mind is conquered we are not going anyway. It is Unfortunate that mental health in an African society is something we do not talk about or rather a hoax and how long is it going to be like this . The time is now to mitigate and find meaningful solutions and save our people.

Q.You are starting a year in a positive mood.Why embarking at Misters of Zimbabwe pageant?A.Yeah 2024 seems like a very interesting year judging from its onset. The reason why I’m embarking on this Misters of Zimbabwe pageant is because it is really a great opportunity for male models who are really keen in representing their country at a global stage. It also has direct links to top international male pageants. So I really had to be part of it.
Q.Is this your first pageant if yes why have you selected pageant and are you leaving other sectors of modeling ?A. I can say this is my first huge pageant, as my first was at the Mr Bulawayo pageant in 2022. And no I’m not leaving the other sectors of modeling, this just happens to be one of life-changing pageants that one can’t miss. Taking note that there are really a few male pageants going on. Q.What are you hoping to bring to the pageant?A.My strengths in this pageant us my physique, style and brains. And with these I’m sure one can fight it off to the top 2.
