Joshua Mbaiwa Crowned Mister Botswana 2026
Botswana has a new king.
Joshua Mbaiwa was crowned Mister Botswana 2026 at the grand finale held on Sunday, 26 October 2026, taking the country’s top male pageant title for the year.
Douglas Shebz Keokgale was named First Prince, and Tshiamo Koma was named Second Prince, completing the Top 3 for 2026.

The win marks the start of a new chapter for Mbaiwa, who now becomes the official ambassador for the Mister Botswana brand. As Mister Botswana, he will represent the country at international male pageants, lead community projects, and take on public appearances focused on youth, leadership and the boy-child — the core mission of the Mister Botswana platform.
The Mister Botswana pageant has grown in recent years from a modeling contest to a leadership platform. Founder Charity Mokoloba has often said the pageant was created because the boy-child was not recognised nor empowered, and the organisation now runs boot camps tackling mental health, confidence, self-discipline and the ability to speak out on social issues. That ethos was seen in previous winners like Kanye’s Seametso, whose “I am him” project encouraged men to assume responsibility and leadership roles, and who was celebrated by Parliament for putting Botswana on the world map at Mister Friendship International.
Mbaiwa takes over the title at a busy time for Botswana pageantry. In March, 25-year-old Magdeline Modipane from Tonota was crowned Miss Botswana 2026 with her advocacy project Tlhokomelo focused on neglected children, while Mrs Botswana 2026 went to Ndapiwa Van Den Brenk at Royal Aria earlier this year.
For Mbaiwa, Keokgale and Koma, the focus now shifts from competition to reign — appearances, charity work, and preparing for the international stage where Botswana made history last year by winning Mister Friendship International on its debut.
Botswana Youth and the pageant board confirmed the results on 26 October, with the new titleholders expected to announce their advocacy projects and first official tour in the coming weeks.
