Nkosikhona Khumalo Set for Ghana as Zimbabwe’s Representative at Mr Man of Africa Universe
Zimbabwean model Nkosikhona Khumalo is taking another step in his modelling career after being selected to represent the country at the Mr Man of Africa Universe pageant in Ghana this year.
The announcement was made by the Misters of Zimbabwe organisers, who are also the official directors of Mr Man of Africa Universe. Khumalo’s selection marks a new chapter in a journey that has seen him move from local pageants and runway appearances to the prospect of representing Zimbabwe on an international stage.
Khumalo’s rise has been built on a series of achievements, including winning the Mister Polytechnic Bulawayo title and finishing as second runner-up at the 2025 Misters of Zimbabwe competition. He has also served as a judge at local pageants and walked the runway at fashion shows, gaining experience both on and off the stage.
His appearance at Zimbabwe Fashion Week, widely regarded as one of the country’s major fashion showcases, added another milestone to his growing portfolio. The event gave him an opportunity to share the runway with designers and models working to put Zimbabwean fashion on a wider platform.
For Khumalo, every title has played a part in shaping his journey. Rather than dismissing local competitions as small achievements, he views them as important steps towards greater opportunities. That outlook reflects an understanding that a modelling career is built through experience, consistency and a willingness to learn at every stage.

His journey also highlights the role of local pageants and fashion events in giving aspiring models a platform to develop their confidence, build industry connections and gain exposure. Experiences such as judging competitions and participating in runway shows allow models to understand the industry beyond the moment they step in front of an audience.
Representing Zimbabwe in Ghana will bring a different level of responsibility, with Khumalo carrying the country’s name into an international competition. It will also give him an opportunity to test himself against contestants from across the continent and gain further experience in the pageantry industry.
As he prepares for the competition, his progress serves as a reminder that international opportunities can grow out of the work done on local stages. For Khumalo, the journey from Bulawayo’s modelling scene to Ghana is another step towards the peak he continues to pursue.
