On the 10th of October has been set aside as the World Mental Health day. The world has recently witnessed the rise of cases of men who are depressed and end up committing suicide.

In Africa the belief of men don’t cry has been eroding bit by bit in the continent’s community.  However to some they continue to believe that if African men are brave and their is no need for them to shed a tear when facing challenges.

This has contributed to a number of men in Africa to result into depression leading to committing  suicide.

Mister Africa International Zimbabwe,Future Nyoni is aiming to dedicate his time in advocating for Africa as a continent to accept that men have feelings and its their right to cry out when needed to .

With one of his main goals is to construct regional youth hubs in all four corners of the continent to assist, men in the continent who are facing mentally health issues and those who are abused.

Each African region North, East,West and South of Africa should be having a youth centre that provides free counselling to the youths.

If he wins the title Mister Africa International he aims for this vision to be fulfilled.

Nyoni said, he is aiming to pitch up his vision to the Mister Africa International organisers, fans of the pageant and the whole continent.

He further added that,by creating such a platform will be building a healthy and strong continent within Africa’s youths’mindsets.

“The youths are the backbone  of every nation. Therefore it is imperative to have a strong and healthy  generation of young people to spread head the development of their nations and Africa as a  whole continent,”said Nyoni.

Mister Africa International Zimbabwe, delegate informed that a number of children who are now titled as ‘children of war‘ are mentally  affected by the unsilenced guns in the continent’.

Even though, guns are silenced later not all have the privilege to seek private counselling.Hence Future Nyoni has been advocating  for establishment of youth regional hubs opened to all particularly, abused, bullied children as well as “the children of war“.

He shared with them the challenges that models face when in the modeling industry leading  to mental health issues.

Nyoni encouraged young people to speak out when they are facing difficulties in life and seek professional counselling.

“Don’t allow your current situation to determine your future.

It’s time to seek for psychological  help from counsellors, family, friends.A problem shared is half solved .You may be down today but tomorrow lift up yourself, shake off the dust gather your pieces together and embark on a journey to build a strong future for yourself and family,”said Future.
