Being able to showcase the hard work and creativity of Nigerian designers on such a prominent platform felt empowering. It was a chance to represent not only myself but my office as Mister Nigeria 2024, also the incredible talent that our country has to offer in the fashion industry.

Q.Whose designs did you wear, and what was your take on those designs?A.I had the privilege of wearing designs from some of the most innovative and visionary designers in Africa like;

* Daffe Umute ( Nigeria)

* Essien ( Nigeria)

* Kttt Wardrobe ( Nigeria )

* Quophi Akotuah (Ghana )

* Teed ( Benin Republic )

* Skentele By Etti (Nigeria )

* Imza ( Nigeria )

* Oruku ( Nigeria )

* Niposkin ( Ghana )

* Groomsmen ( Ghana )

* Simeni (Nigeria )

* KK Wears ( Nigeria )

Each piece was a work of art, meticulously crafted to reflect not just the latest trends but also the rich cultural heritage we have in Africa. The designs were bold, expressive, and resonated deeply with my personal style. It was an honor to bring those designs to life on the runway.

It’s a perfect blend of traditional elements and modern influences, making it unique and globally relevant. Nigerian fashion is about making statements, whether through colors, patterns, or silhouettes, and it reflects the dynamic spirit of our people.

Q.What do you think makes Men’s Fashion Week Nigeria a unique fashion show?A.Men’s Fashion Week Nigeria is unique because it provides a dedicated platform for male fashion in a market that is often more focused on women’s wear. It highlights the creativity and innovation in men’s fashion, bringing to the forefront styles and designs that are sometimes overlooked. The show also celebrates diversity and inclusivity, making it a space where different voices and perspectives in fashion can be heard and seen.

Q.You will be representing Nigeria at Manhunt. How are the preparations?A.reparing to represent Nigeria at Manhunt International in Thailand  is both exciting and challenging. I’m focused on staying physically fit, mentally prepared, and fashionably on point. My team and I are working hard to ensure that every aspect of my presentation, from the wardrobe to the overall stage presence, reflects the best of Nigeria. It’s an intense process, but I’m confident and determined to make my country proud.

Q.Let me take you back to Misters of Nigeria. Did you ever think during the event that you would win the title?A.Winning the title at Misters of Nigeria 2024 was a dream come true, but to be honest, during the event, I was just focused on doing my best and enjoying the experience. I believed in myself and my abilities, but the competition was tough, with so many talented participants. I stayed true to who I am, and I think that authenticity resonated with the judges.

Q.What stands out for you whenever you are on the ramp, for runway or pageant?A.Whenever I’m on the ramp, the thing that stands out for me is the energy, the electric connection between the audience, the designs, and myself. It’s about embodying the story that the designer wants to tell and bringing that vision to life. Confidence, poise, and passion are key for me, whether it’s a runway show or a pageant. I always aim to leave a lasting impression.

Q. Which fashion show are you hoping to headline in the future?A.In the future, I’m hoping to headline at international fashion shows like Paris Fashion Week or New York Fashion Week. These platforms offer global exposure, and I believe that representing Nigerian fashion on such stages would be a milestone in my career. It would also be an incredible opportunity to showcase the richness of African fashion to a wider audience.

Q.Lastly, what is next for you in modeling?A.Next for me in modeling is expanding my brand beyond just the runway. I’m looking into more opportunities in fashion design, particularly with my own clothing & fashion accessories line. Additionally, I’m interested in mentoring young, aspiring models in Nigeria, helping them navigate the industry and build their careers. There’s so much potential here, and I want to contribute to the growth and evolution of the fashion scene in Nigeria.
