KING ANTON SIEBERT EYES FOR MISTER SUPRANATIONAL TITLE

If you think you might have seen him taking part in a modeling pageant, you are actually right.Anton Siebert (32) is a former Mr SA second runner up. He is on another quest to win the title-Mister Supranation South Africa which will be a green light to represent his nation at Mister Supranation in Poland this year.In a conversation with him,Anton talks about his modeling journey, how his charity and community projects are changing the environment lives in South Africa.

Q: Hie Anton Siebert can you briefly introduce yourself to the readers ?A: I am Anton Siebert, 32 years of age and I am a passionate primary school teacher and humanitarian all the way from the beautiful coastal town of Mossel Bay in the Western Cape, South Africa

Q:You are not a newbie in the modelling industry can you take us to  when you  joined the modeling industry and your past achievements?A:I wouldn’t classify myself as a model at all to be honest. I see myself as an ordinary person that just uses this platform (pageant competitions) to firstly grow as a person and better myself and prove to all the people that didn’t believe in me, that bullied me, teased me and told me I was too fat to play sports wrong and to be motivation to all those kids, people young and old that people don’t define you and has no power of you and that their words must be used as fuel to power yourself to a better version of yourself to prove them wrong but my biggest reason and most important reason is to grow my own community project that I have called Project Blessing Animal and community care.

I did my first peagant in 2013 when I did Mr PE and i placed in the Top 10

In 2021 I also won the face of the Garden Route Magazine competition where I was featured on the Cover of the Garden Route Magazine.

I also featured a few times now in the PPMC magazine South Africa.

And now 2023 I am a finalist for Mister Supranational South Africa which I am very blessed to be a part of.

Q:What does it mean being part of the top 10 of Mister Supranatural SA?A:Being part of the Mister Supranational South Africa top 10 is amazing and a very blessed feeling as it gives me a bigger platform to grow my project and to reach out to more kids and animals and also get more people involved to grow my project.

Q:If you win the title how will it be a benefit,to the young boy from Kasi (ghetto) who is in SA?A:If I win the Mister Supranational South Africa title it means that my project will get much more attention where I can definitely reach more children, people and animals in all parts of South Africa to help them and educate them about core values such as love, care and respect through the animals in the communities cause if you can love, take care and respect an animal you can love, take care and respect any person and they can instill those values in their own lives and in their communities, thus bettering their community as a whole. As in today’s communities kids don’t know what Love, care and respect is as those values aren’t taught or instilled in their lives anymore, because of the broken world we live in. The communities where I work with my project I have seen so much improvement under the youth that I teach these core values too and which I get to help me in the different communities with my project to help the animals, because when they work with my project and they help the animals they feel wanted, they feel they are worthy and they belong and they are good enough and that’s what all kids want to feel and through my project i create that environment for them, a positive environment where they can grow, learn and become young positive leaders in their communities but most importantly take them out and away from the bad situations in their communities where they might have gone to or joined to feel wanted and good enough and valued.

I already have a group of kids in two communities now already that actually helps me to run my project in their respective communities, where they have become young positive leaders, taking care of the animals, feeding the animals and building kennels for the animals but once again most importantly keeping them away from the bad situations in their communities and they being positive young role models in their communities for other young kids to look upto.Teaching kids these values through the animals and giving them a purpose and belonging has far deeper impact then just the things I told you above. If the kids learn and instill those core values namely love , care and respect you also start to work on different kinds of abuse because if you love, care and respect others you won’t abuse them, hurt them. So it has a far more positive impact and reach in the children lives and the communities than just helping animals in the communities. The animals, and taking care of the animals are just the tool to teach the kids in the communities these core values to better each animals live, better each childs life and better the community as a whole.

Q:As a model you have a charity community work can you tell us more about it and why you selected it ?A:Myself and my girlfriend started our own registered NPC project 2 years back called Project Blessing Animal and Community care and as mentioned above that’s why we do this project in our free time after work and on weekends when we have time.

Q:Currently how has your charity/community work  benefited the SA community?A:My project has benefited the communities where we work immensely these past 2 years. We created a positive environment for the youth where they can grow, feel wanted, have a purpose and feel wanted. It has also kept many kids away from the bad situations in their communities and created young positive leaders and rolemodels in their respective communities saving many children’s lives from becoming a part of certain negative groups in their communities but also saving many many animals lives from suffering. As no animal or person must ever suffer.

Q:what has been the most challenging part as Mister Supranational  SA finalist?A:I wouldn’t say that there is something specific that is challenging as I have been through a major pageant competition before so I know what to expect and what to do as a finalist and the organisation has been extremely supportive in making everything as easy and smooth as possible for us.

Q:What is your take of other contestants and what have you learnt from them?A:They are all phenomenal bunch of incredible guys and I have learned so much from each of them especially where my weak points might be, I tried to take in and learn from their strengths to better those weak points of mine.

Q:How do you balance your day to day with the modeling campaign ?A: I always say if it’s important you will always make time but like each and every person will tell you is created a schedule and keeping to that schedule per day and also being on time is the most important thing to balance everything and make everything work and get everything done.

Q:How has South Africa been supporting your journey?A:South Africa has been amazing. Different people from across South Africa and even other countries have supported my journey but most importantly have seen what I stand for and my project that we do which is just a huge blessing.

Q:What/who motivates you ?A: My past motivates me as I know what it feels like to suffer, I know what it feels like to go to bed hungry, I know what it feels like to be bullied, i know how it feels like to not have a place to sleep at night, i know how it feels like to have depression and wanting to take your own life. I have been through all of that and more and that is what motivates me to help others and to grow my project on a much bigger scale where I can touch and reach thousands and hundreds of thousands of lives. That is my motivation and driving force. Not about me or self gain but everything about helping others.

Q:Lastly can you state  at least the tourism resort areas you would like to visit?A:. To be really honest with you visiting a tourism resort would be great but for me in all honesty I would rather use that money that I would have spent to visit those resorts and rather help the people and animals and try and reach more communities with that money to make a positive impact in their lives then to go enjoy myself on a resort somewhere while I know how many people are suffering and I could have helped with that money.
