Q:Who is Nkululeko Mbatha ?A:I am 28 years old, born and breed in the Zululand District, North of KwaZulu Natal. I am a qualified Communications Practitioner.

Q:You are not a newbie in the modelling industry can you take us to your past journey and achievements in your journey?A:I have done a few pageants before. I am glad I started small and only coming to the big/national ones just recently. My highlight has to be winning Mister Durban University of Technology in 2016 and getting to represent my institution at Mister SA Campus in early 2017 where I placed 1st runner up. This remains memorable for me because I was the first Mister DUT to secure this placement.
Q:What does it mean being part of the top 10 of Mister Supranational SA?A:I am excited and looking forward to see what the future holds. But realistically speaking, seeing everything unfold has been amazing. Also. We have been a very rare platform to work in our communities, positively.

Q:If you win the title how will it be a benefit,to the young boy from Kasi (ghetto) who is in SA?A:Firstly the title will be a confirmation on “all dreams are valid!” But I truly believe my presence in the competition makes majority of people feel represented. For a child growing up on the country side or any underdeveloped area, they can easily relate to me because I was once there and I strived to make it out, now I am back to inspire them to do just the same.
Q:As a model why is grooming important to you?A:Looking good is attractive. Looking clean is more attractive and impressive.

Q:How has your journey been so far?A:This is the only time I feel like time is moving faster .We have been so busy with activities, literally everyday. I have been enjoying myself and learning a lot from the others as well.
Q:What is your take of other contestants and what have you learnt from them?A:We are an amazing group of gents. The spirit of brotherhood and caring is very much alive.
Q:How do you balance your day to day with work, school and Modeling? A:Lately I have had to prioritize the competition because of it’s constant requirements but my career and school work hasn’t suffered. I am glad to be around people who assist in every possible way.

Q:How has Mzansi been supporting your journey?A:I think this is the most transparent competition for SA and they have been engaging with every update of it. I feel very much supported and I am truly honored.
Q:What are top 3 favorite music jams? A:1. Don’t Worry – Madcon
- Nkolwa – Homeboyz & Kyaku Kyadaff
- Dizastar – Wavele Wathula
Q:Who inspires you ?A:I am inspired by my grandmother. She is a true pillar of strength. She is a strategic woman who is always to make ends meet regardless.

Q: Lastly can you tell us about the charity, community project you working on?A:I would like people to know about my from the ground up project, Project Twenty8. I am seeking donations for scientific calculators to take to high school learners in the underdeveloped communities. I am trying to bridge the visible gap in South African education system especially where rural areas are concerned.
