King Nkosinathi who is Zimbabwe’s reigning Mister Zimbabwe is among the guests in Zimbabwe’s 4th edition
fashion movement thd Dandy Gentlemen, which is set to be held in the city of Bulawayo thid Saturday. In a conversation with the King,he provides hints on what the show will look like and what will be the benefits for every gentlemen to take part in this movement.
Q:Nkosi thank you for your time ,how has your reign as Mister Zimbabwe been so far ?
A: Being Mister Zimbabwe has definitely come with its own ups and downs, I love being Mister Zimbabwe, I mean who wouldn’t. It definitely has opened up doors of opportunities.
Q:What has been the best moment of your journey since you won the title?
A: Going back home and telling my parents that I had made it. That I, a regular Zimbabwean child, had won the title
Mr Zimbabwe. Their hugs and ululations and seeing their joy. That’s something no one can take away.
Q:As a king we know you face some challenges what are some of the challenges that you faced and managed to conquer?
A: My biggest challenge is having to live up to the weight of the title.
Having people in the industry who look up to me to withhold the industries standards; and even the children out there looking at me as their role model.
It can be a little too much for anyone mentally.
Q:Are you happy with the state of the male modeling industry of your country?
A:No. Male models are being undermined and undervalued.
They are not given the respect they deserve as creative professionals which is evident in the way contracts are breached and the compensation for our services.

Q:You are currently taking part at the Men’s Dandy Fashion Show why is this show important to men especially models?
A: The Dandy Men is a movement to create safe spaces for men in our society where they can be themselves, be expressive in clothing, redefine masculinity and address issues of mental health.
This is important to male models because we face mental health issues that come with being exposed to kind-unkind world of the Internet. We’ve been through thick and thin and we made it out alive. we hope to guide those who are struggling mentally through this space.
Q:Do you believe what you wear determines your attitude?
A: Yes. Any nice tailored suit would make anyone feel like they can take on the world.
Q:Who is your style muse?
A: I’m more diverse. Each style has its own muse: from formal to casual to avant-garde.
Q:Aside from visiting the City of Kings and Queens at the Dandy Show. What are your major plans before you leave your office?
A: Connecting with all the models within reach and leaving a legacy for the next generation.

Q:What words do you have to someone who is still thinking if they can attend the Men’s Dandy Fashion ?
A: Everyone is welcome to attend the fashion show. It’s a great space to unwind, connect and network.
