Melusi Kunene who is a candidate of for Mister Africa International representing Eswatini .Is currently a resident in South Africa,he tells us how he is planning to use his knowledge about SA and Eswatini’s fashion and modelling during the competition.
Q:You are from Eswatini know residing in SA.How did you manage to enter into the modelling industry in SA ?
A:I joined the SA modelling industry after I did as soon as took part in the Fashion Without Boarders show which is an annual event held in Jo’burg .
Q:What do you like about the modelling industry in South Africa ?
A:I do like to appreciate the modeling industry in SA because fashion is taken seriously and I’ve seen more models from SA going international .
Q:You were selected to represent Eswatini at Mister Africa International what does it mean to you ?
A:Yes I was selected to represent Eswatini at Mr Africa International and this means that even Eswatini is recognized in other countries pertaining modeling thus there’s more potential that needs to be reviled.
Q:What word do you have to your family and people in Eswatini Kingdom?
A:The word I have for my family and friends is that, its still a long way to go but with a positive mind, perseverance and dedication I’ll conquer all furthermore I really appreciate their effort.
Q:If you win personally which projects in terms of working with Community you would like to work with ?
A:If I may win the peagent I’ll really love to work with the VANS offices and empower man.
Q:How ready are you for this pageant ?
A:Day by day I’m taking a step in getting closer to my goals for the peagent and since Covid stated dominating I’ve been working on my body 24/7.
Q:What is your take of Africa’s male modelling pageant?
A:The Africa’s male modeling pageant in not taken more seriously and it is not vast because we know that there’s gender equality but you’ll find that there’s Miss Teen Africa but without Mr Teen Africa.
Q:Who in the male modelling inspires you ?
A:My best model that inspires me the most is Vuyo Dabula (South Africa) who has worked with the likes of David Tlale (South Africa).
Q:If not modelling what will you be doing?
A:If it wasn’t for modeling I’ll be a professional soccer player by now.
Q:When did you modelling career began ?
A: I started my modeling career in 2017 where I joined a pageant at school and that was my first and last loose till today
